Are your fellow union members facing financial hardship? Help other union members manage their money more effectively!

Through the Union Plus Credit Counseling provider Money Management, International (MMI), union activists can participate in the Certified Money Management Volunteer Program - a national effort designed to train and certify you to present financial education seminars to union members.

The certification program covers:

• Ways to assist union members during layoffs and strikes
• Understanding credit reports
• Using credit wisely
• Reducing debt
• Creating financial and savings plans

Once certified, volunteers can teach their fellow union members about money-management best practices.

The program includes workbooks, handouts and a three-hour training course. Seminars are available in targeted cities. You may also take the training via a self-paced course on CD-ROM.
