From auto repairs to zoos, local unions have developed a wide range of money-saving
discounts for their members and to use as a tool to attract new members.
The list of discounts below is designed to help you get an idea of the variety
and types of discounts offered by other local unions.
- Auto repairs - savings ranging from
a 5% discount on parts to 10% discount on all repairs to 50% off brake
pads on auto repairs at local repair shops and shops like Midas and
Muffler King.
- Bail bonds - 10% discounts at local
bail bonds offices.
- Bowling - savings on shoe rentals
(50 cents off) and games (75 cents to a $1.25 off) at bowling lanes.
- Carpets - discounts on carpet purchases
(5% to 15%) and carpet cleaning ($10 off 2 rooms or more).
- Cakes - savings ranging from $2 to
$5 off any birthday cake to 5% off wedding cakes at local bakeries.
- Chiropractic - savings ranging from
free initial exam to half-price for first acupuncture session.
- Child care - grants from the local
union to members to help defray child care costs.
- Computers - Union
Plus Computer Discounts on IBM and Dell computers are available

- Dry cleaning - 10% off dry cleaning
to 20% off on alterations.
- Entertainment events - discounts
at the rodeo, dinner cruises and savings on admissions from $4 to $15

- Income tax - discounts on tax preparation.
- Jewelry - 5% to 20% discounts off
rings and bracelets and chains at local jewelry stores.
- Lawyers - the Union
Plus Legal Service offers free initial consultations and a 30% discount
on hourly rates.
- Men's clothes - savings ranging from
free socks with a suit to 10% off purchases at local clothing stores.
- Mobile homes - 10% discount on purchases

dog and cat food) at local pet stores.
- Private eyes - Up to 20% discounts
on hourly services from detective agencies.
- Rental cars - you can use the Union

Budget.
- Restaurants - discounts at local
restaurants like Burger King, Golden Corral, Pizza Hut, Ryan's, Subway
and Sullivan's Cafeteria that range from a free drink with a sandwich
or meal to up to 10% off.
- Shoes - dollars off discounts at
Red Wing Shoes.
- Signs - 10% off on painted signs
at local sign shops.
- Tanning - $1 off first tan to 10
percent off for 10 tans or more at local tanning salons.
- Trophies - 10% to 15% discounts on
merchandise at Trophy stores.
- Union-printed
